"As fast as we possibly can and as fast as God makes it possible, we are thrusting out.  We’re preparing a new airplane here for its role of missionary service...."

16 mm film, Conquering Jungle Barriers, sound, color, 31 minutes. Prologue and epilogue from the late 1950s, the main portion of the film produced in the early 1950s. The bulk of the film was written, shot, and narrated by Nate Saint. There is a prologue and epilogue by Marj Saint, filmed after his death. It is about the work of Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF), showing the difficulty of travel in the Amazon basin and the assistance MAF provides to missionaries in transportation and communication. In the prologue and epilogue, Marj Saint explains that the footage of the film was shot and narrated by her husband, pilot Nate Saint, several years before his death in 1956. The footage is all from the jungles at the headwaters of the Amazon. From BGC Archives, Collection 136, Film F4a.
